How do I resize my Flash animation ?

There are 2 ways to install a Flash animation on your website :

1. EASY
Your Flash file is hosted by :
FlashVortex.com
2. ADVANCED
Your Flash file is hosted by :
YOU

1. If you use the EASY installation process :

Your installation HTML code should look like this :

<script src="http://h1.flashvortex.com/display.php?id=
2_1190668857_54290_130_17_180_70_6_1_1" type="text/javascript"></script>

To change the size of your animation, you will need to add the following code snippet ( in red ) :

<script src="http://h1.flashvortex.com/display.php?id=
2_1190668857_54290_130_17_180_70_6_1_1&width=270&height=105" type="text/javascript"></script>

IMPORTANT : Resizing must be proportional to take effect. If you increase the width parameter, you should also increase the height parameter proportionally.

Here is the result of the above resizing :

Before After

2. If you use the ADVANCED installation process :

The HTML tag provided by the generator to display your Flash animation should look like this :

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/
swflash.cab#version=9,0,0,0" width="180" height="70">
<param name="movie" value="flashvortex.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="best" />
<param name="menu" value="true" />
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" />
<embed src="flashvortex.swf" quality="best" menu="true" width="180" height="70" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" allowScriptAccess="always" />
</object>

IMPORTANT: The above tag is just an example. If you don't have the HTML tag provided by the generator, read the following FAQ.

You will find the width and height parameters, highlighted in red above. You can modify the size of your Flash animation by adjusting those width and height values. As you can see above, the parameters appear at 2 places ( one for Internet Explorer and the other for Mozilla Firefox ), make sure you set the same value at both places.

IMPORTANT : Resizing must be proportional to take effect. If you increase the width parameter, you should also increase the height parameter proportionally.

Here is an example of resizing :

Before After

Note that if you use the Flash menus, this will not allow you to add more text to the buttons.
